CO-COUNSEL AND REFERRAL FEES
AA-Accident Attorneys, P.L.C. can help you generate a source of income with no overhead. We routinely pay referral fees to other lawyers in accordance with The Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of California. The Rules prohibit referral fees paid to non-lawyers.
The Rules also allow us to co-counsel a case with other lawyers and pay appropriate referral fees to those lawyers. The client's prior consent is required.
We regularly seek out qualified lawyers in other states for co-counsel on our out of cases. We find that co-counseling with local lawyers on our out-of-state cases provides our clients with expertise of the local environment, local contacts and reduced travel costs.
